East Oaks Farmers
Feb 1, 2026
The ground is cold and covered in ice and snow, making it nearly impossible to do anything outside! Our animals are all huddled in their stalls, impatiently waiting to go out and walk in the snow and get fresh air! On the other end of the farm, our greenhouses are warm, and we have started planting for the early arrival of Spring 2026.
We have planted more than 1,000 pansies and relocated them to the color section of the greenhouse to slow their growth. The advantage of the greenhouse is that our houseplants remain healthy, green, and ready for orders.
Spring flowers aren’t the only things that need a little care right now. We also have 6 new lambs that have arrived over the past few weeks! Of course, we are looking forward to a few more lambs arriving in February, as our ewes are very pregnant.
Note: This is an excellent time of year and a wonderful opportunity for anyone who wants to try cuddling the lambs!( https://www.eastoaksfarm.com/additional)
February is also an exciting month when we transplant our starter plants from the germination room to the greenhouses.
